First 5 Minutes in Fish Quest
The first few minutes are less about chasing the biggest fish and more about learning the line rhythm. A new run usually teaches three things quickly: the cast needs a clean hold-and-release, the bite is only the start of the fight, and the tension meter is the real skill check. If you reel constantly after the hook, you may see progress for a moment, but the pressure climbs fast enough that a bigger catch can escape before you understand what went wrong.
A better opening rhythm is to cast, wait for the strike, reel in short pulls, then pause as soon as the fish fights back. This makes early catches feel slower, but it turns the fight into a readable loop instead of a frantic button hold. Once you land a few fish, the first useful upgrades are the ones that make that loop more forgiving: line strength, reel control, and rod power before pure earnings.
